About SUE APPLETON DAYTON
...Sue Appleton Dayton Born in Cullman Alabama and received a BA degree from St Bernard College in accounting I moved to south Florida in 1993 and started the business which is now Sue Appleton’s Walls of Art, Inc. in 1994 located in Jupiter Fl. For 20 years the business has specialized in Faux Finishes, Murals, Trompe L’oeil, and custom Fine Art. Starting out as a self-taught artist I have since studied extensively over the years with some of top names in the business both in the US and Italy. I have been featured several times in “Faux Effects World” an international faux magazine Today my concentration is Fine Art and Murals. I am considered a “colorist” in my fine art and what better subjects than south Florida for fantastic color and beauty. “Sunset Coconut Palm” shows how I incorporate my 20 years as a faux artist by the unique “painted frames” which I consider as much a part of the piece as the subject. I love painting Florida’s tropical landscapes, wildlife and botanicals but have done many commissions for other styles such as old world and traditional.
